Who We Are

NSCLO is a coalition of organizations in Nova Scotia who provide support to people with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or mental health support needs.

NSCLO (formerly known as NSRAA) was founded by in 1993 by a group of organizations and advocates who believe that everyone belongs in the community. NSCLO is proud to be assisting in the Human Rights Remedy work to ensure that the findings of systemic discrimination against people with disabilities in this province are rectified, and that everyone has the ability to live in the communities of their choice, get the supports they need, and have the same opportunities and freedoms afforded to all Nova Scotians.

NSCLO’s fundamental values of Integrity, Person Centered Supports, Respect, Inclusion, Excellence, and Support for Members guides us in our mission to strengthen the ability of member organizations to pursue excellence in community-based services.
